Nissan needs to stay modern and cutting edge. The 350z is a nice looking, modern car. Hopefully the next z, z34 will just be an improvement. My problem with retro, is how are you going to redesign it? For example with the mustang; They now have a 2005 car that looks like a 1964 car, but whats gonna happen in 2009 when it comes time to redesign it? Are they going to take cues from a 1970 mustang? Are they gonna completely scrap the retro design and go back to modern? Either way it's gonna be hard to redesign a retro car, which is why they usually get killed off instead of being redesigned (t-bird, bug, ford gt are all scheduled to be put to rest).
